The issue – getting new windows and doors on a budget
When Mike Curran purchased the garden flat in Maida Hill, it was in need of refurbishment. The existing windows needed replacing and he also wanted to build an extension at the rear of the flat to create an open plan living and dining kitchen. ˜Because we were on a budget, we needed to ensure that the windows weren’t too expensive, but we didn’t want to compromise on quality,” said Mike.
The solution – a quote for new double glazed sash windows from Sashed
Mike contacted Sashed early on in the refurbishment. Sam visited the property and surveyed the bay window at the front of the house. Sam worked from the architect’s plans for the new extension to prepare a quote for the new windows, which were both sash and casement styles and also for the bi-folding door.
The result – beautiful new windows for the newly refurbished property
˜We’re delighted with our new windows and doors from Sashed. The windows and doors are superb quality, finished beautifully and they were also excellent value for money. We received a very helpful and flexible service from Sam and the Sashed team. We had them fit the bay window for us, but we fitted the other windows ourselves in the new extension and saved money doing this.”
A breakdown of how Sashed installed new wooden windows:
- The Sashed team carried out a survey of the property, in order to get a clear idea of what work needed to be done.
- A quote was then put together and given to Mike.
- The Sashed team installed the bay window and Mike saved money by doing the rest of the fitting himself
