Wooden double glazed sash windows – Queens Park Conservation Area, W10

• Windows: Sash windows with made in meranti hardwood
• Glazing: Conservation area 18mm (4/10/4) Argon filled glazing with toughened glass
• Style: Traditional Cords & weights sliding sash, 3 over 3 narrow, Victorian
• Finish: Spray painted factory finish in cool white (RAL 9016) on the exterior and interior.

The property terraced property is in the Queens Park Conservation Area. Sashed replaced four windows in all including the living room and two bedrooms with new double-glazed sash windows that exactly matched the originals. The client chose meranti, a hardwood, for its longevity as well as the beautiful wood grain. The windows were all spray painted in the factory in cool white (RAL 9016), which gives them a highly durable finish that will not need repainting for at least 10 years.
