Sam Madge-Wyld wanted to upgrade the sash windows is his South East London home. The existing uPVC double glazed windows were failing and so not performing well in terms of insulation and soundproofing. The large triple sash window in the living room had also been replaced with a uPVC window, which meant that the radius arches at the top of the window had been lost, spoiling the appearance of the facade. “We wanted to restore these to how they would have looked originally,” said Sam.
The solution – a quote for new double glazed sash windows from Sashed
Sashed visited the property to conduct a full survey. Sam chose Meranti hardwood for his replacement windows. Following the survey Sashed was able to design a highly bespoke triple sash window for the living room with a radius head to re-create the original style of the window. The two front bedroom windows were also designed with radius heads to match the original design.

“The new double glazed sash windows have eliminated the draughts and have made our home much warmer and quieter. The whole job was done within three days, we were really impressed with how quickly the fitters from Sashed were able to complete the work, they were very clean and tidy as well,’ said Sam. ‘The quality and finish of the windows are superb and we received great customer service.
